Everyone is welcome to join us at the Liberty Fields Wassail on Sunday 20 January, from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm. Come and help us ensure a great apple crop for 2019! There will be a Wassail Hat competition (any hat will do, just cover it in greenery), Wassail Punch, Green Man face painting, Wassail song, a bonfire and the Wassail rocket!
Find us at BA22 9SZ, just off the A37 south of Yeovil. As the event takes place in an orchard, please wear sensible footwear and warm/waterproof clothing. There is parking at the site but if you need to park on the road or verges please do so considerately.
For a taste of last year’s event, watch the video on YouTube – Dorset Wassail at Liberty Fields, take a look at the pictures below, or read Fanny Charles’ article in the January ‘Dorset’ Magazine.
We held our first Wassail in January 2017, when over 100 people came to help us rid the orchard of evil spirits and help this year’s apple crop. We were joined by the Ridgeway singers and some amazing hats.
